Terms of Service — Anonymous Chat User Agreement

Last updated: January 1, 2025

By using Anonymous Chat, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all terms, do not use the platform. We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time — continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

1. Service Description

Anonymous Chat provides a free, web-based platform for random anonymous text conversations between strangers. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not screen, verify, or endorse users. You are solely responsible for your interactions.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Anonymous Chat. By using the service, you confirm you are of legal age in your jurisdiction. We do not actively verify age but reserve the right to restrict access if we suspect a minor is using the platform.

3. User Responsibilities

You agree not to use Anonymous Chat to:

  • Harass, threaten, bully, or intimidate other users
  • Share sexually explicit, pornographic, or obscene material
  • Engage in hate speech based on protected characteristics
  • Transmit malware, viruses, or malicious code
  • Spam, advertise, or promote commercial products
  • Share illegal content or discuss illegal activities
  • Impersonate others or create false identities
  • Solicit money, gifts, or personal favors
  • Attempt to hack, reverse-engineer, or tamper with the platform
  • Record, screenshot, or distribute other users' conversations without consent

4. Content and Conduct

You are solely responsible for the content of your messages. We do not pre-screen conversations but may use automated systems to detect obvious violations. You retain all rights to what you type, but by using the platform you grant us a limited license to process messages for delivery purposes only — this is technically necessary for the service to function and does not include storage or republication.

We reserve the right to monitor, restrict, or terminate access to users who violate these terms, though we are not obligated to do so. Enforcement decisions are at our sole discretion. Not all violations may be detected, and not all reports may result in action.

5. Reporting and Moderation

Anonymous Chat provides a reporting feature within the chat interface. Use it to flag users engaging in harassment, spam, explicit content, scams, or other prohibited behavior. Reports are anonymous — the reported user will not know who flagged them. Our moderation team reviews reports and may take actions including warnings, temporary restrictions, or permanent IP bans for repeat offenders.

False reporting undermines the system and may result in restrictions on your own access. Report only legitimate violations.

6. Termination and Suspension

We may suspend or terminate your access to Anonymous Chat at any time, without notice, for conduct we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users. You may stop using the service at any time simply by leaving the site. There are no accounts to delete.

7. Disclaimers

Anonymous Chat is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free operation, or freedom from harmful content. The quality of your conversations depends entirely on the random users you encounter — we make no representations about other users' behavior or intentions.

The platform relies on technologies outside our control (browsers, network infrastructure). We are not responsible for connection issues, browser compatibility problems, or network outages.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Anonymous Chat operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. This includes damages from interactions with other users, exposure to inappropriate content, or service interruptions. Our total liability, where it exists, is limited to the amount you paid for using the service — which is zero.

9. User-to-User Interactions

You assume all risks associated with communicating with strangers online. We do not vet users, verify identities, or screen private messages. Do not share personal information, trust unsolicited requests, or engage with users who make you uncomfortable. Use the Skip button freely and trust your instincts.

10. Intellectual Property

The Anonymous Chat platform — including its name, design, code, and branding — is our intellectual property. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without permission. Your right to use the service is granted solely under these terms and can be revoked at our discretion.

11. Age and Legal Compliance

Users must be 18+ in their jurisdiction. We expect users to be truthful about their age. We do not perform age verification beyond the implicit expectation that users will comply. We reserve the right to cooperate with law enforcement when legally compelled and may disclose connection logs if required by valid legal process.

12. International Use

Anonymous Chat is accessible globally, but availability may vary by country due to local regulations or network restrictions. Users are responsible for complying with local laws regarding online communication and content. We do not intentionally target users in jurisdictions where the service would be illegal.

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms of Service at any time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of Anonymous Chat after modifications constitutes your acceptance of the new terms. If you do not accept the changes, stop using the platform.

14. Contact
