Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 2026

At AnonymousChat, we believe privacy is a fundamental right. This policy explains what we do (and don't do) with your information. It's simple because our approach is simple: we don't collect your personal data.

Information We Do Not Collect

We have designed AnonymousChat to minimize data collection. Specifically, we do not:

  • Collect or store your email address, phone number, or other contact details
  • Create user profiles or accounts
  • Record or store video or audio from your conversations
  • Log chat messages, text, or call history
  • Track your location, IP address, or device information
  • Set tracking cookies or pixels
  • Share data with third parties for advertising

What We Do Collect

To keep the service running, we collect minimal technical data:

  • Temporary connection logs (IP address, timestamps) that are automatically deleted within 24 hours
  • Aggregated, anonymized usage statistics that cannot be traced back to individuals
  • Error logs to help us fix bugs and improve stability

None of this information can identify you as a person or reveal your conversation partners.

Peer-to-Peer Connections

AnonymousChat uses WebRTC technology to create direct connections between users. Video and audio streams travel directly between browsers and are encrypted end-to-end using DTLS. Our servers facilitate the connection process but never see, record, or store your conversations.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies necessary for the website to function:

  • Session cookies to remember your preferences during a visit
  • No advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies

No persistent cookies are stored on your device after you close the browser.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with anyone. The only exceptions are:

  • When required by law or valid legal process
  • To protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of our users
  • With trusted service providers who assist with hosting and infrastructure, bound by strict confidentiality agreements

Moderation & Safety

To maintain a safe environment, our moderation team may review user reports of policy violations. This review is based solely on information provided by the reporting user and does not include access to private conversations. Users who violate community guidelines may be temporarily or permanently banned from the platform.

Data Retention

All conversation data exists only during the active chat session. When a call ends, all associated data is immediately deleted from memory and never written to persistent storage. Temporary server logs are automatically purged after 24 hours.

Your Rights

Because we collect virtually no personal data, there is nothing to access, correct, or delete. You can:

  • Stop using the service at any time
  • Request information about what minimal data we hold via our contact form
  • Report concerns about your privacy

Children's Privacy

AnonymousChat is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly allow minors to use the service. If we become aware a user is under 18, they will be banned immediately.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally. The latest version will always be posted on this page with the revision date. Continued use of AnonymousChat after changes constitutes acceptance.
